
Everblades Capture Three of Four Points During First Homestand

The Florida Everblades captured three of a possible four points after they defeated the Pee Dee Pride 4-3 on Friday night and fell in a shootout 4-3 on Saturday. The Everblades take on the undefeated Southeast Division leading South Carolina Stingrays in Charleston, SC on Friday and Saturday night. Both contests begin at 7:30 PM. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM, NewsRadio 1660 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Mark Miller calling the play-by-play. Listen to 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage each Monday on Sportsradio 770 AM from 6:30-7:30 PM. Tonight's show will be at the Stevie Tomato's Sportspage in Naples on Shirley Street.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Stingrays will meet for the first time this season. South Carolina is currently tied for the lead in the Southeast Division standings and are 6-0-0 on the season. Florida holds an 18-6-4 record all-time against the Stingrays and a 8-4-0 record in South Carolina. Last season, Florida went 5-2-0 against South Carolina and were 2-1-0 in Charleston. The Stingrays are tied for first place in the ECHL's Southeast Division with a record of 6-0-0. Stingrays forward Dave Seitz leads South Carolina in scoring with 5-5-10. South Carolina goaltender Kirk Daubenspeck is ranked first in the ECHL in shootout wins with 3 and is tied for the league lead in wins with 6. Everblades forward Tom Buckley leads the ECHL in shots taken with 51. The Stingrays power play ranks 1st and their penalty kill ranks 20th. The Everblades power play currently ranks 22nd in the ECHL and their penalty kill ranks 6th.

Friday, October 25th vs. Pee Dee 4-3 W
The Florida Everblades (2-3-2) upended the Pee Dee Pride (3-2-1) 4-3 in their first home game of the year in front of 6,761 at TECO Arena on Friday night. Florida forward Tom Buckley notched the game winning goal in the third period and added an assist to lift the Everblades.

The Florida Everblades (2-3-3) captured 3 of 4 points this weekend after falling in a shootout to the Pee Dee Pride (4-2-1) 4-3 in front of 5,799 at TECO Arena on Saturday night. Florida forward Brent McDonald tied the game with :46 left in the third period to force the overtime frame.
ECHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL player of the week nomination is forward Brent McDonald. The Olds, Alberta native registered a goal in the Everblades 4-3win over Pee Dee on Friday night. McDonald tied the game on Saturday night with :46 seconds remaining in the contest to force the overtime and added an assist. For his efforts on Saturday night he was awarded the first star of the game.
ECHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL goaltender of the week nomination is Rob Zepp. The Newmarket, Ontario native was 1-0-1 this past week. Zepp is ranked ninth in the ECHL in goals against average with 2.33.
