Daubenspeck Named ECHL Goalie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - South Carolina¹s Kirk Daubenspeck is the East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week for October 21-27.

Daubenspeck went 3-0-0 and improved to 6-0-0 overall while helping the Stingrays to a 6-0-0 start, the best start in the team¹s 10-year history.

The Madison, Wis. native, who is tied for the ECHL lead with six wins, allowed only five goals in three games, lowering his goals against average to 2.72. He made 102 saves, including 43 on Saturday against Roanoke, in the three games and raised his save percentage to .913.

Runners-Up: Mike Smith, Lexington (2 gp, 1-0-1, 1.47 GAA, .947 save pct.), Greg Gardner, Mississippi (3 gp, 3-0-0, 2.27 GAA, .931 save pct.) and Scott Fankhouser, Reading (4 gp, 3-1-0, 1.96 GAA, .939 save pct.)
