Morrison Named ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Columbia Inferno right wing Justin Morrison is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for October 21-27.

The 23-year-old Morrison set team single-game records for most goals (4), most power-play goals (3), and most points (5) in Columbia¹s 8-1 win over Augusta on Thursday. Morrison scored three points (1g-2a) in Columbia¹s 4-3 win over Augusta on Sunday helping the Inferno move into a tie for first place in the Southeast Division.

Selected in the third round (81st overall) by Vancouver in the 1998 National Hockey League entry draft, Morrison is tied for second in the ECHL with seven goals and is tied for fourth in scoring with 12 points (7g-5a).

On behalf of Justin Morrison, a case of pucks will be donated to a Columbia area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo, the official puck supplier of the ECHL.

Runners-Up: Jeff Zehr, Columbus (3 gp, 4g, 2a, 6 pts) and Dave Seitz, South Carolina (3 gp, 2g, 4a, 6 pts).
