THE WEEK AHEAD

Friday, November 1st at Jackson

This is the first time in franchise history the Inferno will face off against the Jackson Bandits. The Bandits are 1-7 and in last place in the Southwest Division.

Saturday, November 2nd at Arkansas

The Riverblades are 4-2-1 in the Southwest Division, 3rd place. This is the first meeting between the teams in each franchise history's.

Sunday, November 3rd at Arkansas

This is the second game in two nights between the Inferno and Riverblades. This is the fourth season for the Riverblades and second for the Inferno.

LAST WEEK

Thursday, October 24th COLUMBIA 8 Augusta 1

Chris Pittman kicked off the scoring with five minutes left to go in the first period. Justin Morrison scored his first of four goals to end the 1st period 2-0. Rejean Stringer continued his scoring streak with a short-handed goal in the second period pushing the lead to 3 – 0. At the 7:51 mark, Augusta's Lance Galbraith received a game misconduct, five minutes for fighting, and two minutes for roughing along with Likit Andersson's two minutes for boarding to give the Inferno the man advantage. During the ensuing seven-minute power play the Inferno's Justin Morrison threw in three goals for his first hat trick as an Inferno. Tim Smith rounded out the scoring for the Inferno with a goal at the 19:45 mark to give the Inferno a 7 – 0 lead heading into the third period. Augusta was able to get on the board when Ryan Lauzon trickled the puck by Patrick Couture to make the score 7 - 1. Chris Pittman netted his second goal of the night to close out the scoring with two minutes remaining in the game.

Friday, October 25th Columbia 1 RICHMOND 4

Mike Legg scored the only goal for the Inferno as they dropped their second road game 4-1 against the Renegades. Richard Pitirri and Nick Lent both had a goal and an assist to lead the Richmond Renegades. Patrick Couture stopped 30 shots for Columbia, which had its four-game winning streak snapped.

Saturday, October 26th COLUMBIA 4 Augusta 3

Chris Pittman scored his third goal of the season at the 17:16 mark of the first period to give the Inferno a 1-0 lead. Justin Morrison scored at the last second of the first period with assists from Denis Martynyuk and Rejean Stringer. Stringer scored over the shoulder of goaltender Josh Blackburn with passes from Martynyuk and Morrison. Martynyuk, just reassigned from the Manitoba Moose scored his first goal only 1:38 into the third period to give Columbia a 4-1 lead. Morrison and Chris St. Croix had the assists. Augusta fought back with two goals by Brad Ralph and Jeff Swzez but it wasn't enough and Columbia walked away with the win.

INFERNO STREAKS

The Inferno is still undefeated at home, holding a record of 5-0-0.

INFERNO PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS

Justin Morrison set a franchise record on Thursday, October 24th against the Augusta Lynx scoring a team high of four goals and also having five points in a game. The win set a team record for largest margin of victory, 7. Scoring eight goals in one game was also a record for the Inferno.

Justin Morrison (7g, 5a) and Rejean Stringer (5g, 7a) each have 12 points in their last five games...Denis Martynyuk, in his first game back after being reassigned by Manitoba, had three points (1g, 2a).
