Thursday, October 24th the Lynx traveled up the interstate to battle it out with rival Columbia Inferno with a disappointing outcome of 8-1. The Lynx one goal was scored by Ryan Lauzon at the 6:21 mark of the third period.

The South Carolina Stingrays hosted the Lynx Friday, October 25th, winning the game 5-1. Lynx winger Jim Shepherd scored the lone goal for the Lynx in the second period. The Lynx tallied a total of 57 PIM's, with Shepherd receiving 14, Kevin Brown was given 10, and Galbraith had 27. Galbraith leads the League with 55 PIM's.

Traveling back to Columbia to face the Inferno Saturday, October 26th the Lynx failed again to come out on top. After a failed come back effort the final score was 4-3. Lynx winger Patrick Yetman scored midway in the second period, earning his third goal of the season. Brad Ralph and Jeff Szwez scored in the third period, Ralph's first of the season and Szwez's first professional goal.

The Lynx are 3-5-0 on the season with 6 points and are currently 7th place in the Southeast.

Player of the Week: Ryan Lauzon tallied one goal good for one point in the three games last week. He had three shots on goal and is at +1 for the week. Lauzon is second on the team in points with 6, coming from 3 goals and 3 assists. He is also one of a few on the team with zero PIM's.

Goaltender of the Week: Josh Blackburn picked up one loss this weekend, seeing action in all three games. Blackburn improved his GAA to 5.43 and his Save % to .814. He has an overall record of 0-3-0.

The "Hat Trick for Life" Program, corporately sponsored by Papa John's Pizza, challenges local school children to score a hat trick in Life by saying no to drugs, staying in school, and always believing in themselves. This uniquely designed program is based on the power of using professional athletes as role models for today's youth, and illustrates the importance and overwhelming influence that our Augusta Lynx have.

Monday, October 28: "Holiday Inn Have a Heart for Kids" at the Holiday Inn to benefit the physically and mentally handicapped children in the area. "Behind the Bench Coach's Show" with Kyle Schultz and Head Coach Jim Burton beginning at 7 pm at Cadillac's Fine Food and Spirits located at the corner of Washington and Pleasant Home Roads.

Tuesday, October 29: Hat Trick for Life School Assembly Program will be at Windsor Spring Elementary School in Hephzibah, GA. Team representatives will be present.

Wednesday, October 30: Hat Trick for Life School Assembly Program will be at Bel Air Elementary School in Martinez, GA. Team representatives will be present.

Thursday, October 31: "The Locker Room Report" airs at 8:30 pm on Comcast Channel 4. Friday, November 1: The Lynx will travel to Florence, SC to play the Pee Dee Pride, facing off at 7:30 pm. This will be the first of nine meetings between the two teams this season.

Saturday, November 2: The Roanoke Express will host the Lynx with a game time of 7:30 pm.
