RHP Chih-Wei Hu (5-7, 4.42) vs. RHP Luis Ortiz (2-1, 3.43)
The Durham Bulls tied the series at two with a 7-3 victory on Sunday afternoon at Harbor Park in Norfolk, VA. Durham's lead in the South Division grew to 5.5 games and its Magic Number shrunk to three. Tonight, Chih-Wei Hu makes his 18th start for Durham (23 app.). Hu makes his third start of the season against Norfolk (4 app) with a 1-1 record with a 3.00 ERA (12.0 IP, 4 ER) against the Tides during the 2018 campaign. Luis Ortiz is scheduled to start against Durham for the first time this season. It is the fifth start of the season for Ortiz with Norfolk, after he was acquired in a trade from the Milwaukee Brewers on July 31.
The Bulls look to take one step closer to clinching the South Division and need three more wins to clinch their 14th IL South title in 21 seasons.
