
Condors Visit Mercy Hospital, Over $23,000 Raised for Shriners

Upcoming week of November 4th - November 10th:
· Tuesday, November 12th - Bakersfield Condors Captain Paul Willett and defenseman Jon Sorg will be at Mercy Hospital located at 2215 Truxtun Avenue visiting children and signing autographs from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
· Wednesday, November 13th - Condors forward Jamie Cooke and Condors Assistant General Manager Chris Freshour will be at the kick-off of the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's "Please Don't Light Tonight" Program. The program is to encourage residents to think about air quality and consider burning fire with clean burning fireplaces. There will be a demonstration of a clean burning fireplace next to a dirty, polluting fireplace. The event will take place on Centennial Plaza in front of Centennial Garden at 10:30 am. For more information on the program, contact the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's office at 326-6981.
· Wednesday, November 13th - Condors players Peter McRae and Denis Ladouceur will join the Bakersfield Boy Scouts in their annual Scout Drive at John's Incredible Pizza at 7:00 pm. The Bakersfield Boy Scouts will begin their new enrollment for 2003, with sign-ups starting this evening. John's Incredible Pizza is located at 3709 Rosedale Highway.
· Wednesday, November 13th - Join Cal, the Baby Condor, Condors players Nate Anderson and Jordan Roach, Condors staff, and the Condors Slapshot at the Condors "Carl's Jr. Care-a-Van" as it makes its fifth and final stop of its tour. The Condors will be at the Carl's Jr. located at 2400 Hughes Lane on the corner of Hughes Lane and White Lane. This week the "Care-a-Van" will be joined by "The Brian Long Show" the show will air live on KGEO 1230 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Carl's Jr. will be handing out a coupon for a free Famous Star burger to the first 50 people to attend. Also, at each stop, by making a donation to Goodwill Industries, fans will receive a free terrace level ticket for a select Condors game this season.
· Thursday, November 14th - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 AM live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and Condors winger Paul Rosebush will be the guests on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.
· Friday, November 15th - Join the Condors as they host the Fresno Falcons for Time Warner Cable, Real Rock 104.3, and SBC Pacific Bell Smart Yellow Pages Team Photo Giveaway Night. Every fan in attendance will receive a 2002-2003 Bakersfield Condors Team Photo. Also students will be attending the game for free to award them for their outstanding attendance and good behavior as part of the Condors Classroom Champions program, sponsored by CBS 29, McDonald's, and Big Valley Construction. The night is also the first Time Warner Cable, The Bakersfield Californian, and John's Incredible Pizza Kids Club Night. All Kids Club members will be able to attend tonight's game for free as a part of their membership. Kid's Club members are also able to pick up their cap and light switch cover. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm with the puck drop at 7:00 pm.
Condors Dropping
· This month's website auction will feature the chance to have a sit down question and answer session with your favorite Condors player. A transcript of your Q & A session will be printed in the Condors Nightly Notes for one game, you'll receive two tickets to the selected game and an autographed Nightly Notes. Log onto www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross â Kern County Chapter.
· On Sunday the Condors finished up the weekend with a win over the first place Idaho Steelheads on KUZZ 107 Veterans Day Jersey Raffle & Auction Night. The puck dropped at 5:00 pm as the Condors honored America's Veterans with special red, white and blue Veterans Day jerseys, which were auctioned off after the game. Over $23,000, highlighted with $3,700 for Kevin St. Pierre's jersey, both franchise records, was raised for the Petroleum Shrine Club. All fans had a chance to win a jersey, as five were raffled off during the game.
