LAST WEEK: The Pride went 1-1-0 last week beating Richmond at home and losing at Greensboro. Pee Dee is 8-3-1 for 17 points and is in second place in the Southeast Division, one point behind South Carolina.

Friday, November 8 v. Richmond PRIDE 5 Renegades 2

Pee Dee ran their winning streak to five games with a 5-2 triumph over Richmond. The teams traded the first four goals of the game, with the Renegades tying it at 2 with a score just 3:15 into the final period. The Pride would regroup, and B. J. Adams would score the game winner at the 13:13 mark. Matt Reid provided an insurance goal just 1:40 later, and Greg Schmidt put the capper on it with an empty-net goal with :43 seconds left. Schmidt had the hot hand collecting a goal and three assists.

Saturday, November 9 @ Greensboro Generals 5 PRIDE 3

The Pride's winning streak came to an end at five games. Pee Dee got out to a 2-0 lead 13 minutes into the contest on goals by B. J. Adams and Kyle Kidney. Greensboro would score the next three goals to take a 3-2 lead. A power-play goal by Wes Goldie at the 14:21 mark of the third period tied it, but the Generals got the game winner on a Sam Ftorek power-play goal at 17:14.

THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, November 14 v. South Carolina 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

The Pride and Stingrays meet for the second time this season. In the first meeting on opening night, South Carolina skated away with a 5-4 shootout victory. Pee Dee is 0-4-1 in their last five meetings with South Carolina. The Stingrays are in first place in the Southeast Division with a 9-3-0 record for 18 points, one ahead of the Pride.

Saturday, November 15 v. Roanoke 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

The Pride and Express meet for the first time in two years. It is the first of four meetings overall this season between the two teams. Pee Dee is 4-6-0 all time against Roanoke. The Express are 7-3-2 on the year for 16 points. They are tied for third place in the Northeast Division with Richmond.

OTHER NOTES

COUNTDOWN TO 300

Entering the weekend, the Pride need one more home win to reach 300 in franchise history. The Knoxville/Pee Dee franchise has 299 all-time home wins to rank first in ECHL history. The next closest team is Wheeling, who has won 283 home games. Since moving to Florence for the 1997-98 season, the Pride have 127 wins on home ice. The franchise also leads the ECHL in all time wins with 492 and is one road win behind Wheeling for the most road wins in league history.

REID CONTINUES HOT START

Matt Reid continues his hot start to the season. He is tied for the league lead in assists with 17, and is tied for fifth in the overall scoring race with 20 points. Reid also leads the ECHL in plus/minus with a plus-16, five points ahead of the league's second-best plus/minus player and his linemate, Mike Glumac. Reid is currently on a six-game point streak, over which he has recorded three goals and seven assists.

STARTING FAST

The Pride have gotten off to some quick starts this season. In the first period, Pee Dee is outscoring opponents by a 20-9 margin. The 20 goals in the first period are tied with Greenville for the most goals scored in any period by an ECHL team this season. The Grrrowl also have scored 20 times in the opening period.
