
Lawson Snags Goaltender of the Week, Again

Fort Wayne, IN --- The United Hockey League announced today that Komets goaltender Tom Lawson has been named the UHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10.
Lawson, 23, repeats as the Goaltender of the Week for the 2nd consecutive week after posting a 2-0-0 record, 0.50 goals against average, a .979 save percentage and his second pro shutout in as many weeks. Lawson stopped 47 of 48 shots in back-to-back games against the Mallards and successfully faced 13 Quad City power plays. The Whitby, Ontario native made 28 saves on 29 shots in a 3-1 win Saturday night in Fort Wayne and snagged his 2nd shutout in as many weeks with a 19 save performance in a 4-0 win at Quad City Sunday. Lawson currently leads UHL goalies with a 1.57 goals against average, a .936 save percentage and 2 shutouts.
Adirondack's Hugo Belanger earned the UHL's Sher-Wood Player of the Week award. Lawson and Belanger will face each other when the Komets host the IceHawks this Friday night at the new coliseum at 7:35pm.
Saturday night the Komets play host to the Port Huron Beacons at 7:35pm and then face the Beacons at Port Huron Sunday at 5:05pm.

Miller waived.....the Komets announced today that forward Kelly Miller has been placed on waivers. Miller appeared in 5 games since the start of the season posting no points and 19 penalty minutes.
Reddick placed on Injured Reserve.....the Komets also announced that goalie Pokey Reddick has been added to the 7-day I.R. effective Nov. 9. Also on the injured reserve list is Ken Boone (21-day) and Bart Stevens (10-day).
