Berringer, with all Anheuser-Busch drafts selling for just one dollar. There is a food drive to benefit Greensboro Urban Ministry and the Winston-Salem Crisis Control Ministry for Friday's game. All fans who bring in a canned food item will receive two dollars off their admission. The Generals complete their week on Saturday at 7:35 at the Charlotte Checkers. LAST WEEK: 11/8 GREENSBORO 4, ROANOKE 6 ¨ The Generals fell behind by scores of 3-0 and 4-1 in the first period, and couldn't quite dig themselves out. Greensboro did make a game out of it, though, cutting the deficit to one on two occasions, but despite a flurry of chances in the end, it was the Express who sealed the victory with an empty net goal. Chris Bell led the Generals attack with a pair of goals, with Kurt Drummond and Matt Turek adding the other tallies.
11/9 PEE DEE 3, GREENSBORO 5 ¨ Despite spotting the first place Pride a 2-0 lead in the first period, the Generals dominated from start to finish, led by a hat trick from team captain Jay Murphy. Murphy, activated from the injured list earlier in the day after missing the previous four games, put the Generals on the board late in the first period. With the score tied 2-2 in the third period, Murphy scored on a breakaway to provide the Generals their first lead of the game. Murphy finished off his night and finished off the Pride in the process with an empty net goal in the final minute. The Generals game winning goal was scored by Sam Ftorek on the power play with just 2:46 left in the contest. Mark Turner scored the other Generals goal, and added an assist on the night as well. The Generals victory snapped Pee Dee's five game winning streak.
