Canadian Baseball League: The nine-team independent CBL, which turned professional this season after operating for years as the semi-pro Intercounty Baseball League, wants to add a tenth team by the 2028 season and is looking for an ownership group to purchase a CBL franchise in the Halifax (Nova Scotia) market and upgrade a local ballpark. Everett AquaSox Announce Eight Roster Moves
July 20, 2026 - EVERETT, Wash.: Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today that the High-A Everett AquaSox roster is receiving eight player transactions.
Of the eight players involved, four are being promoted to the Double-A Arkansas Travelers from Everett: Catcher Josh Caron, infielder Felnin Celesten, outfielder Jonny Farmelo, and right-handed pitcher Lucas Kelly. July 20, 2026 - The Toronto Blue Jays have announced that 3-Time Cy Young Award winning pitcher, Max Scherzer, is scheduled to make his next MLB injury rehabilitation start for the Bisons on Wednesday, July 22 (1:05 p.m.) in the Herd's game against Rochester Red Wings at Sahlen Field. July 20, 2026 - (AKRON, OHIO) - Cleveland Guardians outfielder Angel Martinez and pitcher Tim Herrin are scheduled to play on rehab assignment with the Akron RubberDucks on Tuesday, July 21 at 12:05 p.m. against the Altoona Curve at 7 17 Credit Union Park.
Martinez is appearing in his third rehab game since being placed on the 10-day injured list on June 16 with left foot non-displaced fracture. He went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in two rehab games with Triple-A Columbus.
