Ice Flyers Win 4-3 against the Birmingham Bulls in Rescheduled Game

March 20, 2018 - PENSACOLA, FL. - The Ice Flyers won against the Birmingham Bulls in the rescheduled February 18 game 4-3. Jessyko Bernard, Kyle Haines scored for the Ice Flyers, with Ken Neil scoring two goals. The Bulls' goals were scored by Craig Simchuk, Graham Yeo and Justin Larson. At 2:34 in the first period Craig Simchuk, with a pass from Evan Schultz, put the Bulls on the board first. Jessyko Bernard tied it up at 16:31 with a short handed, unassisted goal. Ice Bears Sign 7-Time SPHL Scoring Champion Swider

March 20, 2018 - Knoxville, TN (March 20, 2018) Knoxville Ice Bears head coach Jeff Carr announced Tuesday he has signed former Knoxville Ice Bears center Kevin Swider to a standard player contract. Swider, former captain, led the SPHL in scoring in each of his seven seasons in the SPHL, was named SPHL league MVP three times and lead the Ice Bears to three SPHL President's Cup Championships. Rookie Forward Ben Greiner Signed to Amateur Tryout

March 20, 2018 - ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Tuesday that forward Ben Greiner has been signed to an amateur tryout contract. Greiner recently completed his NCAA career at Hobart College, where he served as the Statesmen's captain during his senior season in 2017-18. He put up six goals and 11 assists in his final collegiate season and helped his team to the NEHC tournament title. Parks Returns to Rivermen from ECHL Stint

March 20, 2018 - Peoria, IL - The Peoria Rivermen have announced today that the team has re-added goaltender Tyler Parks to the roster, returning the second-year pro from his loan to ECHL Florida. In a separate roster move, the team has placed veteran netminder Peter Di Salvo on waivers. Parks returns to the Rivermen after spending time in the ECHL with the Florida Everblades and Tulsa Oilers, playing in two games for the former and none for the latter.
