Wranglers Deal Defenseman Gaucher To Alaska

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team traded defenseman Ryan Gaucher to the Alaska Aces in exchange for right wing Jordan Cameron and future considerations.
"Gaucher played well for us all season long and we wanted to give him a chance to go to the playoffs, " said Wranglers General Manager / Head Coach Glen Gulutzan. "The key to this deal is the future considerations and building a playoff team here in Las Vegas for next season."
Cameron comes to Las Vegas with five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 47 games played this season for the Aces. For his career, the second-year forward has 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points in 116 games played. Cameron's career highlights include a four-goal game against the Bakersfield Condors on February 14th, 2004.
Gaucher scored 39 points in 54 games with the Wranglers this season, while racking up 94 penalty minutes. Gaucher scored 13 goals and added 26 assists, placing him seventh in the league among defensemen in scoring. Gaucher's 13 goals ranked third highest among blueliners. The former ECHL All-Star will join the Aces for the team's playoff run.
The Wranglers return home from the road on Tuesday, March 29th to host the Fresno Falcons at 7:05 pm. The game starts a six-game home-stand to end the regular season. Victoria will play at the Orleans Arena on Friday, April 1st and Bakersfield stops in on Saturday, April 2nd. The Wranglers conclude their season with three home games against Alaska on April 5th, 8th, and 9th.
