Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx announced today that forward Matt Dzieduszycki has been traded to the Las Vegas Wranglers as future considerations owed to complete a prior deal.

The original trade sent rookie forward Matt Schmidt and future considerations to the Wranglers in exchange for forward Doug Wright and defenseman Regan Darby. Dzieduszycki was named as those future considerations on Monday.

In 49 games for Augusta this season, the Mississauga, Ontario native registered 20 goals and 39 points along with a -9 rating and 69 PIMs. Dzieduszycki has spent a total of 53 games in Augusta over two seasons, recording 28 goals and 54 points in that span. The 5-11, 185 lb. center and wing also played 130 games in the American Hockey League with the Syracuse Crunch and San Antonio Rampage over the past three seasons.

Dzieduszycki is expected to join the Wranglers for their games this week.

In other roster news, the Lynx announced that defenseman Phil Cole has been reassigned to the team from the Albany River Rats and will be in uniform this weekend. Cole has appeared in 18 games with the Rats this season, recording no points and 16 PIMs.

The Lynx are back in action starting Thursday night against the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 pm, followed by a home and home series with the Pensacola Ice Pilots that kicks off in Augusta Friday night at 7:35 pm before heading to Florida at 7:05 pm on Saturday night.
