Scott Bertoli Named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week

TRENTON, NJ (March 22, 2005) – The ECHL announced on Tuesday that Trenton Titans left wing Scott Bertoli has been named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week for March 14-20.

Bertoli, who turns 28 on Wednesday, registered three goals and five assists and was +5 in helping the Titans go 3-1-0 during their week of play.

Against the Charlotte Checkers on March 15, Bertoli started the week contributing three assists in a 5-3 victory. Bertoli recorded his second hat trick of the season and was +3 three nights later in a 5-3 loss to the Toledo Storm. He finished his week of scoring chipping in two assists, including the game-winning helper, in a 3-2 overtime win the following evening against the Storm.

Bertoli is tied for eighth in the ECHL with 62 points and leads the Titans in goals (24), assists (38), points and multi-point games (17). A member of the Titans since their inaugural season in 1999-2000, Bertoli is Trenton' s all-time leader for games played (410), goals (136), assists (275) and points (411). The sixth-year pro also helped lead the Titans to the Brabham Cup and Kelly Cup Finals in 2001.

A native of Milton, Ontario, Bertoli was a four-year letterman at Princeton University. He recorded 118 points (41g-77a) in 130 games and led the Tigers to their first ever Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship and NCAA tournament appearance in 1997-98.

On behalf of Scott Bertoli, a case of pucks will be donated to a Trenton area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. In Glas Co has donated over 12,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in 2000-01.
