Titans' Bertoli Named In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Trenton left wing Scott Bertoli is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for March 14-20.

The 27-year-old Bertoli had five assists and eight points, helping the Titans win three out of four road games to move into third place in the North Division.

The 5-11 and 205-pound Bertoli began the week wit three assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in a 5-3 win at Charlotte. Playing at division rival Toledo the next two games, he scored his second hat trick of the season in a 5-3 loss on Friday and had two assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday. He ended the week with a plus-minus rating of +5 after the Titans won their second straight overtime game 2-1 at Reading on Sunday.

Bertoli has 17 multiple-point games and is tied for eighth in the ECHL with a team-leading 62 points. He also leads the Titans in goals (24), assists (38) and power-play points (19).

Bertoli, who will celebrate his 28th birthday on Wednesday, has played his entire ECHL career with Trenton beginning in its inaugural season in 1999-2000. He is the team's all-time leading scorer with 374 points (128g-246a) and he led the Titans to the Kelly Cup Finals in 2001, scoring 21 points (7g-14a) in 19 playoff games. Bertoli has played in four games in the American Hockey League with Lowell and Saint John.

In four years at Princeton University, the Milton, Ontario native scored 118 points (41g-77a) in 130 games and led the Tigers to their first ever Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship and NCAA tournament appearance in 1997-98.

On behalf of Scott Bertoli, a case of pucks will be donated to a Trenton area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. In Glas Co has donated over 12,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in 2000-01.
