SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds will host Hockey & Heels on Saturday, March 11 at the Breakaway Lounge inside the MassMutual Center from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the T-Birds' Pink in the Rink game against the Laval Rocket. Hockey & Heels is also made possible thanks to support from The Foundation Management Group at Merrill.

Attendees are invited to put on their best heels and join a fun ladies' night. Each $40 ticket allows entry into the pregame reception in the Breakaway Lounge, as well as admission to the T-Birds game, which will begin at 7:05 p.m. with Pink in the Rink pregame ceremonies. Each attendee will receive a gift bag, and light fare and drink tasting will also be available, with admission and pregame cocktails benefiting Girls Inc. of the Valley.

As an added bonus, the Hockey & Heels program will be highlighted by a trio of guest speakers highlighting their professional experience: Hayley Moore, Vice President of Hockey Operations for the American Hockey League; Elizabeth Paquette, President of Rock Valley Tool; and Kara Bombard, Marketing Manager at Performance Food Service.

Girls Inc. empowers, educates, and guides girls forward, helping them navigate the challenges in their lives. Through intentional and effective programming, both in school and after school, Girls Inc. focuses on the development of the whole girl - while helping to harness the power already within her. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent.
