PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: Wes Mason (3 goals - 0 assist = 3 points)
Wes picked up his first goal of the year on Wednesday, but did not stop there. He would tally two more helping to lead the Storm back from a second period 3-1 deficit on Friday. The Storm won that game 5-4 in a shootout. Wes may have scored the most important goal of that game when he lit the lamp at 18:08 of the second period. That goal brought the Toledo Storm to within 1 goal at 3-2 heading into the third period.
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: Drew MacIntyre (1-0-0, 2.51 gaa, 0.911 save%)
Drew rebounded nicely on Friday night. After allowing 4 goals on 30 shots during regulation time, Drew came through when it counted stopping 2 shots in the overtime and then the 3 shooters he faced in the shootout. The Storm scored on all three of their shots in the shootout for the win. Drew also appeared in the game Saturday night in relief of starter Doug Teskey and saved all 15 shots he faced the rest of the game.
