LAST WEEK: Florence picked up its first win of the season in its only action last week, beating Augusta 3-2 on Saturday. The Pride are now 1-2-1 on the season for three points, and are in sixth place in the Southern Division, five points behind first-place Florida.
Saturday, October 27 @ Augusta PRIDE 3 Lynx 2
The Pride jumped off to a quick start, getting goals from Jade Galbraith and Shaun Sutter in the first 13:24 of the first period. Augusta tied it before the period came to an end on a power-play tally from Todd Bennett. After a scoreless second period, Florence jumped back up by two on a power-play marker from Mark McRae at the 6:07 mark of the third. The Lynx came within one again as Scott Corbett scored with 9:05 left. But, Matt Underhill stood tall in net the rest of the way, giving the Pride their first win of the young season.

The Pride and Stingrays meet for the first of seven times this season. This is the first meeting since the Pride eliminated the Stingrays 3 games to 1 in last year's Kelly Cup Playoffs. Florence won both games at the North Charleston Coliseum in that series. South Carolina is 2-1-0 for four points, and is tied for fourth place in the Southern Division.
Friday, October 31 v. Augusta 7:30 p.m. Lion's Den
Florence and Augusta meet for the second of six times this season. The Pride are 1-0-0 against the Lynx after winning last Saturday. All-time against the Lynx, the Pride hold a 28-9-3 record. Augusta is 2-3-0 for four points and is tied for fifth place in the Central Division.
PROMOTIONS: Fans are encouraged to come to the game in their Halloween costume to take part in the costume contest on the ice between periods. In addition, fans will be able to trick-or-treat at the arena's concession stands during the game.
Saturday, November 1 v. Trenton 7:30 p.m. Lion's Den
The Pride and Titans meet for the only time this season. Last season, Florence was 1-2-0 against Trenton, with the home team winning each game. The Pride are 3-3-1 all-time against the Titans. Entering the week, Trenton is 1-3-0 for two points and is in eighth place in the Northern Division.
PRIDE IN THE COMMUNITY
Monday, November 10
The Pride, Outback Steakhouse and Honda of South Carolina are teaming up for a golf tournament, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area. The tournament is at Governor's Run Golf Club in Lamar, with lunch served at 11:15, and a shotgun start at 12:30. Foursomes are filling up fast. PRIDE NOTES
- After going 0-for-13 on the power play in the first three games of the season, Florence was finally able to score its first man-advantage goal of the season in Saturday's win at Augusta. For the game, the Pride went 2-for-6 on the power play.
- Mark McRae's goal on Saturday not only was the game-winner, but it was also his first professional goal.
- Adam Stefishen notched an assist in Saturday's game, giving him four helpers on the season, and giving him at least one assist in all three games he has played this season.
- Nicolas Corbeil also earned an assist in Saturday's win, extending his point streak to three games. On the season, Corbeil leads the team in scoring with six points (2g 4a).
- Friday's home game against Augusta is the first of a six-game homestand for the Pride. After tomorrow's game at Charleston, the Pride do not hit the road again until Saturday, November 15 when they go to Greenville.
