Former Stingrays' Biron Named NHL Defensive Player of the Week

October 27, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


Former South Carolina and current Buffalo goaltender Martin Biron was named the National Hockey League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Biron, who played for the Stingrays in 1997-98, was 3-0-0 with a 1.92 goals against average in four appearances. Biron helped Buffalo win three straight road games averaging 30 saves and a .940 save percentage.
