PAPILLION, Neb. - First baseman Nick Pratto was selected to play in the Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game for the second time in his career. The Huntington Beach native was drafted 14th overall in 2017 by the Royals out of high school.

Pratto was signed and played with the Arizona League Royals in his first professional season, posting a .247 batting average with four homers and 10 stolen bases in 52 games. He moved up and spent 2018 with Single-A Lexington, hitting .280 with 14 homers, 62 RBIs, 22 stolen bases in 127 games.

The 23-year-old went to High-A Wilmington in 2019 and hit nine home runs with 46 RBI. He did not play in 2020 because of the cancelation of the Minor League Baseball season.

Pratto moved up to Double-A Northwest Arkansas in 2021, hitting .272 with a .974 OPS. He got named to the 2021 All-Star Futures Game before getting promoted to Triple-A Omaha in mid-July. Pratto hit 21 homers in 64 games with the Storm Chasers, earning a Minor League Rawlings Gold Glove Award as the best-fielding first baseman in all levels of Minor League Baseball.

Pratto selected to the 40-man roster following last season. He started the 2022 season with the Omaha Storm Chasers. This season, Pratto is playing first base primarily but has spent some time in the outfield and as the designated hitter. Pratto had a 14-game on-base streak ended on July 3. He has hit 15 home runs with 45 RBIs through his first 70 games this season. Pratto has stolen eight bases and has only been caught once, as the Omaha Storm Chasers hold one of the best stolen base percentages in the International League.

Game four of a seven-game series begins at 7:05 p.m. against the Toledo Mud Hens with coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m. CT with the Sarpy County Tourism Pregame Show on 1180 The Zone.
