Rampage Receive Zinger from Capitals

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 3, 2006) - The Phoenix Coyotes, the NHL affiliate of the San Antonio Rampage, today announced that they have acquired defenseman Dwayne Zinger from the Washington Capitals in exchange for left wing Doug Doull.

Zinger has been assigned to the Rampage, the Coyotes' top affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). He will join the team in New York where the Rampage begin a 10-game, 21-day road trip tonight against the Rochester Americans at 6:35 p.m. CT.

The 29-year-old Zinger has recorded zero points and 74 penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 games with the Hershey Bears (AHL). The 6-foot-3, 221-pound blueliner from Coronation, Alberta has collected 64 points (19 goals, 45 assists) and 617 PIM in 369 games with Cincinnati, Portland and Hershey over seven years.

Zinger signed with Washington as a free agent on July 9, 2002 and has one assist in seven games with the Capitals for his NHL career.

Doull, 31, played in 26 games with the Rampage this season, recording three points (1 goal, 2 assists) and 84 PIM. He joined the Coyotes organization on Sept. 2, 2004, when he signed as a free agent.

The 6-foot-2, 216-pound Doull has played 243 career AHL games with San Antonio, Utah, Providence and St. John's tallying 57 points (26 goals, 31 assists) and 1,004 PIM. The Glace Bay, Nova Scotia native has appeared in 35 career NHL games and recorded one assist.

The Rampage's road trip (Feb. 3-23) comprises 5,971 miles as the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo visits the AT&T Center. All games can be viewed through B2 Networks' live video web cast for $6 to anyone with a high-speed internet connection, through a link at www.sarampage.com.
