San Antonio Rampage News Release

Rochester, N.Y. - The San Antonio Rampage earned a point in their first game of their 10-game, 21-day rodeo road trip after coming back from three different deficits to force overtime and suffer a 5-4 shootout loss to the Rochester Americans Friday night at Blue Cross Arena. Pascal Rheaume was instrumental in helping the Rampage get a point in the standings as he recorded the team's second individual four-point game by collecting a pair of goals and assists.

In their first game from the AHL All-Star Classic, Rheaume brought the Rampage to a 1-1 tie at 17:34 in the opening period with the first of the team's four power-play goals for the night as Mike Bishai and Layne Ulmer, who returned from this week's annual event held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Rochester built a 3-1 lead within the first four minutes of the second period, scoring two goals in their first five shots.

Rheaume and Eric Chouinard helped Tim Jackman tally his fifth goal of the season to bring San Antonio within one with 2:31 remaining in the second.

Rheaume followed with his second power-play goal of the night just 3:23 into the third period to knot the game at 3-3 for his eighth goal of the season.

Four minutes later, former Rampage Greg Jacina gave Rochester their third lead of the night.

David Cornacchia and Rheaume teamed up again to assist on Chouinard's 10th goal of the season to force the extra session with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.

After a scoreless overtime, Chouinard, Ulmer, Bishai, Jeff Taffe and Rheaume all missed their shootout attempts. Former Rampage Kamil Kreps scored the Amerks lone goal.

The Rampage held Rochester, the AHL's 3rd best power-play percentage, to one of two attempts tonight.
