
Orlando City Launches 2019 MLS Campaign at Home on March 2

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 20, 2018) - Ahead of its fifth season in Major League Soccer, Orlando City SC opens its 2019 campaign presented by Orlando Health on Saturday, March 2, at Orlando City Stadium.
The Lions will play host to New York City FC at 2:30 p.m. ET, marking the third time in five seasons both of the 2015 MLS expansion sides will meet in Orlando for the season opener. City hosted NYC in the first-ever MLS match for both teams in 2015, which saw a 1-1 draw in front of 62,510 fans at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, and in 2017 when the Lions came away with a 1-0 victory in the first-ever match at Orlando City Stadium.
In Week 2, the Lions will travel to travel to Chicago for the Fire's 2019 home opener. The Saturday, March 9, match will kickoff at 1 p.m. ET at SeatGeek Stadium.
Three annual Kickoff to Soccer opening week events have also been announced. Additional events will be announced at a later date.
Fans can reserve a seat for the home opener now by registering for the Purple Pride 5K or Pub Crawl. Season tickets and group ticket packages are currently available by calling (855) ORL-CITY or atorlandocitysc.com/tickets. Group pricing starts at just $27 a ticket for parties of 15 or more. Single-game ticketing information will be announced at a later date.

Purple Pride 5K
Details: Saturday, Feb. 23, 8 a.m. at Orlando City Stadium
This year's 3.1 mile race will start and finish at Orlando City Stadium, with the race route also including a lap within the concourse of Orlando City Stadium. Pre- and post-race activities will take place within the West Lot including partner activations, games, food, and an awards ceremony for the top finishers.

Details: Saturday, Feb. 23, 6-11 p.m. at Renaissance Orlando
Join Orlando City SC and the Orlando City Foundation at the 2019 All-Star SoccerBall Presented by Orlando Health as we celebrate the start of the MLS and NWSL seasons, all while honoring the Foundation's All-Stars of our community. This 21+ event lets fans meet members of the 2019 City and Pride rosters, enjoy a night of entertainment, bid on auction items and more. Proceeds from the event benefit the Orlando City Foundation.
