Los Angeles FC News Release
Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), in conjunction with Major League Soccer, announced today that the Club will open the 2019 MLS Regular Season at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday, March 3 (5:00 p.m. PT) against Western Conference rivals Sporting Kansas City.
Additionally, the Black & Gold will face the Portland Timbers in their home opener on Saturday, June 1 after the reopening of Providence Park, currently undergoing a 4,000-seat expansion.
The only way for fans and supporters to guarantee a seat for the LAFC home opener vs. Sporting Kansas City is to become an LAFC Season Member. Limited number of memberships remain available, for more information and to place your deposit for 2019, visit the Club's Season Membership page here. Single Match tickets will go on-sale at a later date. Fans can fill out the single game request form here for further details.
Last season, LAFC began its inaugural campaign in MLS with six consecutive road matches, including a historic 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders FC in the season opener. The Black & Gold would go on to defeat the Sounders by the same scoreline in the inaugural contest at Banc of California Stadium on April 29.
During the 2019 MLS regular season, each club will play 34 games, including 17 home games and 17 away games. Teams will face each of their conference opponents twice during the season, with one game at home and one game away. All teams will face each non-conference opponent once.
The complete regular season schedule, along with the national television schedules for the U.S. and Canada, will be announced in January.
