Omaha Takes Down 'Cakes in Ten Innings

Papillion, NE - Erick Mejia sacrifice fly scored Chase d'Arnaud in the tenth inning to give Omaha a 10-9 win. The Storm Chasers take three of four in the series to hand New Orleans its first three game road losing streak of the season.

New Orleans hammered three home runs in the game. Isaac Galloway, Isan Diaz and Eddy Alvarez. The 'Cakes allowed a two run home run in the sixth inning for Jecksson Flores.

The game went back and forth multiple lead changes. Galloway led the way for the 'Cakes with two hits and four RBI. Josh Staumont earned the win and R.J. Alvarez suffered the defeat.

The crazy series had 22 combined home runs and the teams combined for 66 runs in four games.

The 'Cakes are 52-45 on the season and a season high 10 games back of first place San Antonio.

GAME NOTES- Eddy Alvarez extended his hitting streak to 14 games, second longest of the season for New Orleans (Isan Diaz, 17). The 'Cakes fall to 2-7 in extra inning games
