Cakes Lose in Omaha

Papillion, NE - A Jecksson Flores sacrifice fly to right field allowed Brett Phillips to score in the ninth inning to give the Omaha Storm Chasers an 11-10 win over the visiting New Orleans Baby Cakes.

A wild-offensive game that had both clubs hit four home runs and New Orleans out-hit Omaha 17-15 in the contest.

The 'Cakes got home runs from Wilkin Castillo, Gabriel Guerrero, Deven Marrero and Peter O'Brien.

Kyle Zimmer earned the win for Omaha and Jeff Brigham suffered the loss allowing an unearned run in the ninth.

Omaha takes a 2-1 lead in the series. The 'Cakes are 52-44 on the season and a season high 9 games back of first place San Antonio.

GAME NOTES- The games first pitch was 95 degrees with a heat index of 112. The time of game 3:56 was the longest of the season.
