Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red
Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that the ECHL has named Storm
rookie forwards Andrew R. Martin
Tardif, the Welland, Ontario native, is averaging nearly a point-per game
with 20 points (8 G, 12 A) in 21 games played. He's second on the team with
five power play points and has taken more shots (90) than any other Storm
player. Tardif's 20 points lead Toledo, and place him in a 5th place tie
among all rookie players. Martin, the rookie from Brampton, Ontario, has been equally strong for the
Storm this season, logging 17 games with Toledo this season and is averaging
more than a point per game, accumulating 19 points (8 G, 11 A). He is
second on the team with 2 game-winning goals, just 1 clincher behind his
fellow All-Star Jamie Tardif. Martin is also among the top rookies in
points, as he sits in a 6th place tie with Cincinnati's Torry Gajda, both of
whom have 19 points. The 15th Annual ECHL All-Star Game and the 10th Annual ECHL All-Star Skills
Competition will be held at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho. The Skills
