'Catters Send Conference High Three Players to All-Star Game

Beaumont, TX (December 21, 2006) Texas Wildcatters Vice-President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Malcolm Cameron has announced that forward Kevin Baker has been elected to start in the ECHL All-Star Game and defensemen Paul Albers and Mike Madill will also be representing the Wildcatters for the American Conference.

Baker leads the Wildcatters in scoring with 30 points. He has 18 goals and 12 assists. His 18 goals are first in the ECHL and his 11 power play goals lead the league as well. He has played in 21 games with Texas this season and has been recalled to Milwaukee of the AHL. In two games with the Admirals, he had three assists. Baker returned to professional hockey this season after attending Acadia University.

Albers and Madill are in their rookie seasons as defensemen for the Wildcatters. Both are under contract with the NHL's Minnesota Wild. Albers leads all rookies on the Wildcatters in scoring with five goals and 13 assists for 18 points. He is tied for 11th in the ECHL for rookie scoring. Four of his five goals have come on the power play. Albers played the last five seasons in the Western Hockey League.

Madill has a goal and 16 assists for 17 points. He is one of the rookie leaders in the league with 16 assists. Madill attended St. Lawrence University where he played hockey for four years.

The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros. The next Wildcatters home game is on Thursday, December 28 vs. South Division rival, the Florida Everblades.
