Phoenix RoadRunners News Release

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Antonio Rampage, have announced the signing of forward Chanse Fitzpatrick to a standard player's contract. He has been placed on the seven-day injured reserve and will not be in the line-up this weekend.

Fitzpatrick's ECHL rights were acquired by the RoadRunners on Nov. 11 from the Columbia Inferno in exchange for forward Ren Fauci. The Cornwall, Prince Edward Island native signed a contract with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League prior to the season, but was released Wednesday. Fitzpatrick had one goal and 37 penalty minutes in 12 games with Binghamton. A third-year professional, Fitzpatrick tallied eight goals, 16 points, and 99 penalty minutes in 24 games with Columbia in 2005-06.

In a separate transaction, defenseman Alexandre Rouleau has been reassigned to the RoadRunners from San Antonio of the AHL. Rouleau appeared in one game with the Rampage last Friday but did not record a point. The Mont-Laurier, Quebec native and fourth-year professional leads all RoadRunners' defensemen and ranks seventh among ECHL blue-liners with four goals and 20 points in 22 games.
