Reading Royals (12-10-4) at Charlotte Checkers (15-10-1) 7:00 p.m. ET
* First meeting since Royals won 4-0 at Reading on Jan. 16, 2004.
* Checkers have won the last two meetings at Charlotte and are 6-4-1 all-time against the Royals.
* Reading rookie Jeff Pietrasiak is 3-0-0 with goals-against average of 1.98 in three road games.
* Charlotte rookie Zdenek Bahensky has two points (1g-1a) in his last two games.

Toledo Storm (12-9-1) at Cincinnati Cyclones (12-10-2) 7:30 p.m. ET
* Cyclones won last meeting 2-1 on Nov. 22 to improve to 2-0-0 at home and 2-2-0 overall against Storm.
* Ken Magowan leads Toledo the last three games with four goals and four points.
* Cyclone rookie Cedrick Desjardins is 2-0-0 with a shutout and goals-against average of 0.50 against Toledo.
* Storm's Jamie Tardif is tied for fifth among ECHL rookies with 20 points (8g-12a).

Victoria Salmon Kings (9-15-1) at Phoenix RoadRunners (14-11-1) 7:11 p.m. MT
* RoadRunners won 4-2 on Dec. 12 to improve to 4-1-0 at home and 6-1-0 overall against Victoria.
* Wes Goldie has four goals in his last five games and leads the Salmon Kings with 14 goals in 25 games.
* Phoenix's Brett Smith has nine-game goal streak (10g) and is looking to become first player to have 10-game goal streak since Mathieu Benoit of Charlotte scored 14 goals from Dec. 23, 2000-Feb. 2, 2001.
* Francois-Pierre (F.P.) Guenette leads Victoria with 19 assists and 26 points in 24 games.

* Affiliations with 25 of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League marking 10th consecutive season that the league has had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
* 310 former ECHL players have played in NHL.
* 165 have made NHL debut in the last five seasons, including goaltenders Barry Brust, Martin Houle, Joey MacDonald, Mike Smith and Mike Wall, center Drew Larman and right wing Jesse Schultz this season, and a record 47 in 2005-06.
* ECHL has been represented on last six Stanley Cup champions.
* Two NHL head coaches (Peter Laviolette & Jim Playfair) and 9 assistant coaches have ECHL experience.

* ECHL has been represented on last 17 Calder Cup champions.
* For each of the past four seasons, ECHL has had more players called up to AHL than all other professional leagues combined. From 2002-06 the ECHL had 1,646 call ups, involving almost 1,000 players, including 416 call ups involving 263 players last season.
* Idaho Steelheads and City of Boise will host the 15th Annual ECHL All-Star Game presented by Rbk Hockey on Jan. 17 and the 10th Annual ECHL All-Star Skills Competition presented by Rbk Hockey on Jan. 16 at Qwest Arena.
* ECHL and its member teams contributed more than $2.3 million for charity and relief funds in 2005-06.
