Jarmuth to Represent Inferno in 2007 Rbk ECHL All-Star Game

Columbia, S.C. (December 21, 2006) - The Columbia Inferno announces that defenseman Mike Jarmuth has been selected to represent the Inferno as a starter for the American Conference at the 2007 Rbk Hockey ECHL All-Star Game on January 17th at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.

Jarmuth is in his fourth professional season and has 16 points (4g-12a) in 22 games with Columbia. Prior to joining the Inferno, he played with the Trenton Titans and the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL. Jarmuth also spent time in the American Hockey League with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season. This is his first All-Star game appearance.

"Our organization is extremely proud that Mike will represent the Inferno in the all-star game, as well as being named one of the starters," said Coach Mann. "Mike exemplifies the type of player we, as an organization, are trying to build around now and in the future."

The 15th Annual ECHL All-Star Game will be at 7 p.m. MT on Jan. 17 and the 10th Annual ECHL All-Star Skills Competition will be at 7 p.m. MT on Jan. 16. The starting lineups are determined in voting by American Conference coaches, team captains, media directors, broadcasters and media members. Coaches also submitted the top prospects from within their conference to determine the final roster with each of the 15 teams having a representative.

The Inferno will host the Reading Royals for the first time in franchise history on Friday, December 22nd at 7:05pm. Individual tickets can be purchased by visiting the Carolina Coliseum Box Office starting at 5p.m. on Friday.
