Rosa Called up to AHL for Third Time This Season

Beaumont, TX (December 21, 2006) Texas Wildcatters Vice-President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Malcolm Cameron has announced that forward Marco Rosa was recalled to the Providence Bruins of the AHL.

In 18 games with the Wildcatters this season, Rosa has 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points. He is second on the Wildcatters in scoring per game. He averages 1.28 points per game. This is the third time Rosa has been called up to the AHL this season. Earlier this year, he played in five games for the Aeros. Rosa registered a goal and an assist. His goal was a game winner in a 6-1 win against Grand Rapids on November 26.

This is the sixth time a Wildcatters player has been called up to the AHL. Defenseman J.F. David was recalled to the Manitoba Moose as well as the Binghamton Senators and Kevin Baker was called up to Milwaukee.

The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros. The next Wildcatters home game is on Thursday, December 28 vs. South Division rival, the Florida Everblades.
