Luke Sellars Recalled by Chicago Wolves

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League today recalled defenseman LUKE SELLARS from the East Coast Hockey League's Greenville Grrrowl.

Sellars recorded two goals and two assists in four games with the Grrrowl before the transaction. Last season, the Toronto, Ontario native recorded 2-4-6 PTS. and 87 penalty minutes in 31 games with the Wolves.

He also appeared in 21 regular season games with the Grrrowl registering 8 points and 61 penalty minutes. In 17 playoff games, he recorded 13 points and 44 penalty minutes as the Grrrowl won the 2002 Kelly Cup Championship.

The Chicago Wolves open a 3-game road trip Wednesday in Salt Lake City against the Utah Grizzlies.

The Greenville Grrrowl are back in action tomorrow (Tuesday) when they travel to Charleston, SC to face the South Carolina Stingrays (7:05 PM, WORD-AM 1330 & 950).

The Grrrowl's next home game is scheduled for this Friday (7:05 PM) as the Columbus Cottonmouths make their first trip to the BI-LO Center this season. Tickets for all Grrrowl home games are on sale at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets.
