THE WEEK AHEAD

Thursday, October 24th vs. Augusta 7:05pm Carolina Coliseum

This is the first game against Augusta in the regular season this year. The Inferno played two pre-season games and went 2-0 against the Lynx. The Inferno will face Augusta a total of nine times this season.

Friday, October 25th at Richmond 7:35pm Richmond Coliseum

Last year, the Inferno split with Richmond 1-1-0. This is the first meeting between the two teams. The Inferno and Renegades will meet three times this year.

Saturday, October 26th vs. Augusta 7:05pm Carolina Coliseum

The Inferno will play Augusta for the second time this week.

LAST WEEK

Thursday, October 17th COLUMBIA 2 Florida 1

The Inferno tied the score at the 13:30 mark of the first period when Mike Legg swept a rebound off a Dennis Vial shot into the goal. Shawn Wansborough finished off the scoring, with passes from Mike Legg and Matt Ulwelling by ringing a shot off the post as he went top shelf. Patrick Couture shut out the Everblades in the last two periods.

Friday, October 18th COLUMBIA 6 Greenville 3 (SO)

Justin Morrison started the scoring for the Inferno in the first period at 6:42 of the first period, with assists going to Rejean Stringer and Shawn Wansborough. Tim Smith scored to give Columbia a one-goal lead from Barrie Moore and Erik Adams. Greenville went up 3-2 at the end of the first. Robin Carruthers scored on the power play when Barrie Moore and Corey Hessler set up the play. At the end of the second period, Greenville was beating the Inferno 5-3. The Inferno dominated the third period when Hessler scored on another power play with passes from Stringer and Moore. Justin Morrison tied the game at the 11:04 mark of the third period with his second goal of the night, pushing the game into overtime. Greenville went 0-4 in the shootout. Columbia's shoot out goals were scored by Barrie Moore and Justin Morrison to gave the Inferno the win.

Saturday, October 19th COLUMBIA 4 Greenville 3

Rejean Stringer lead the Inferno with three power play goals and one assist to give the Inferno back to back wins against the Grrrowl. The Inferno was down 3-1 in the second period when Stringer scored his second goal of the night with nine seconds left on the power play to bring the Inferno within one goal. In the third period, Tim Smith scored at 1:14 to tie the game at 3. Stringer's scored the game winner, his third goal of the night with assists from Justin Morrison and Barrie Moore at 14:36 of the third period.

Overall Record: 4-1-0

Position: 1st, Southeast Division

Weekly Record: 3-0-0
