Bakersfield Condors News Release

ACES TURN BACK CONDORS 3-2
The Condors hosted Anchorage on Saturday night, looking for their second win of the season. They took the lead when Jamie Cooke buried his own rebound with just 11 seconds left in the opening period to make it 1-0. It was the last lead they would have as the Aces scored twice early in the second period for the 2-1 advantage. Rookie Nate Anderson, who notched his first career point with an assist on Cooke's goal, tied the game up at 2-2 at 16:52 of the middle frame. Anchorage regained the lead, however, less than a minute later, and held the Condors off the board the rest of the way. Aces goalie Christian Soucy allowed just two goals on 38 Condors shots. Bakersfield outshot Anchorage 38-23 in the game.

GULLS SPOIL JENSEN'S DEBUT
Goalie Fredrik Jensen made his first start in North America for the Condors on Sunday, but watched his counterpart from San Diego take most of the action in a 4-1 loss. The Condors pounded Gulls goalie Trevor Koenig with 25 shots in the first period, but came up empty, trailing 1-0 after one. It was 2-0 before Jamie Cooke put the Condors on the board with his second goal of the weekend to make it 2-1 after 40 minutes. Dean Tiltgen added his second of the game with less than eight minutes remaining to put it out of reach for Bakersfield. R.J. Enga scored into an empty net as time expired to make it 4-1 Gulls. Originally disallowed, officials later ruled it was a goal. The Condors outshot the Gulls 49-29.
