Augusta's Faulkner Named East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Augusta rookie Geoffrey Faulkner is the East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week for October 14-20.

The 23-year-old Faulkner had 31 saves in Augusta¹s 3-1 win against Richmond on Tuesday, and was a perfect 12-for-12 after entering the game in relief of starter Josh Blackburn. A graduate of Division III Trinity College, Faulkner made his third start and picked up his third win making 39 saves in a 3-2 win against Greensboro.

Faulkner, who began the season as an emergency backup goaltender for Augusta, leads the ECHL with a 1.19 goals against average while ranking second in save percentage with .960 and he is tied for third with three wins.

Runners-Up: Patrick Couture, Columbia (3 gp, 3-0-0, 2.11 GAA, .927 save pct.) and David St. Germain, Trenton (3 gp, 3-0-0, 1.66 GAA, .924 save pct.)
