Everblades Drop Three on the Road

The Florida Everblades suffered their first three losses of the season this past weekend after dropping a 2-1 contest in Columbia on Thursday followed by two consecutive defeats in Pee Dee on Friday and Saturday. Florida hopes to avenge the two losses against Pee Dee as they host the Pride this weekend on Friday and Saturday night at TECO Arena. Both contests begin at 7:30 PM. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM, NewsRadio 1660 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Mark Miller calling the play-by-play. Listen to 'The Gerry Fleming Coaches Show' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage each Monday on Sportsradio 770 AM from 6:30-7:30 PM. Tonight's show will be live on remote at Stevie Tomato's Sportspage in Fort Myers just south of Page Field.

Friday, October 25th vs. Pee Dee 7:30 PM/EST

GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Pride will meet for the third time this season. Pee Dee blanked the Everblades 3-0 last Friday night and swept the weekend series with Florida after a 7-2 victory on Saturday night. Florida holds a 12-17-2 record all-time against the Pride and a 4-10-1 record in Pee Dee. Last season, Florida went 2-5-1 against Pee Dee and were 2-2-0 at home. The Pride are in second place in the ECHL's Southeast Division with a record of 3-0-1. Pride forward Matt Reid leads the ECHL in assists with 9 and leads Pee Dee in scoring with 0-9-9. Everblades forward Tom Buckley leads the ECHL in shots taken with 35. Their power play ranks 6th and their penalty kill ranks 9th. The Everblades power play currently ranks 26th in the ECHL and their penalty kill ranks 8th.

Saturday, October 26th vs. Pee Dee 7:30 PM/EST

GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Pride meet in the second of a pair of weekend games at TECO Arena. Halloween bags will be given to the first 1,500 children 13 and under.

LAST WEEK'S RESULTS

Thursday, October 17 @ Columbia 1-2 L Columbia scored twice in the first period and Patrick Couture stopped 32 of 33 shots to give the Inferno a 2-1 victory over the Florida Everblades.

Friday, October 18 @ Pee Dee 0-3 L

Ron Vogel stopped 32 shots as the Pee Dee Pride blanked the Florida Everblades 3-0 in front of 2,661 fans at the Florence Civic Center.

Saturday, October 19 @ Pee Dee 2-7 L

Mike Glumac scored two goals and assisted on two others as the Pee Dee Pride topped the Florida Everblades 7-2. Everblades finish their six game road trip with a 1-3-2 record.

ECHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL player of the week nomination is forward Keith Anderson. The Thief River Falls, Minnesota native registered a goal in the Everblades 2-1 loss in Columbia.

ECHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades ECHL goaltender of the week nomination is Rob Zepp. The Newmarket, Ontario native was 0-1-0 this past week. Zepp is ranked fourth in the ECHL in Save Percentage with .946 percent.
