Las Vegas Sets New Attendance Record Saturday Night

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 3-0-0 record for the week with all the wins coming at home. Las Vegas defeated San Diego 4-2 on Tuesday night. The Wranglers beat Peoria 3-0 on Friday night and followed up with a 4-3 win on Saturday night.

This week, Las Vegas will host Fresno on Monday at 7:05 pm. Thursday, the Wranglers will take on the San Diego Gulls for the third time this season. Friday, the Wranglers conclude a six-game home stand with the Victoria Salmon Kings. Saturday night, the Wranglers will conclude their week in Bakersfield with a 7:00 pm face-off.

San Diego 2 at Las Vegas 4

The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the San Diego Gulls 4-2 on Tuesday night in front of 3,700 fans. Forwards Darren Lynch, Dustin Johner, Chris Stanley and defenseman Ryan Gaucher each scored in the win. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 25 saves for his seventh win of the season. Las Vegas scored three power-play goals for the third straight game, on their way to the team's third consecutive win.

Peoria 0 at Las Vegas 3

The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Peoria Rivermen 3-0 on Friday night in front of 4,376 fans at the Orleans Arena. Goalie Sebastien Centomo made 29 saves for his second shutout of the season and the 7th of his career. Rookie Dustin Johner scored twice in the win, while defenseman Deryk Engelland scored his second goal of the season as the Wranglers won their fourth straight game.

Saturday, January 8th

Peoria 3 at Las Vegas 4

The Las Vegas Wranglers (16-12-4, 36 points) defeated the Peoria Rivermen (12-15-4, 28 points) 4-3 on Saturday night in front of 7,310 fans at the Orleans Arena. The new all-time record crowd of 7,310 surpassed the previous high of 7,242 set on March 20th, 2004 against Idaho. Winger Doug Wright scored the final two goals to lead Las Vegas to the team's season-high fifth straight victory. Goalie Sebastien Centomo made 29 saves, improving to 10-5-2 on the season. Center Jeff Attard and Dustin Johner each scored for the Wranglers. Las Vegas scored on the power play for the fifth straight game.

Wranglers Get Limpright in Four-Team Trade...

The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Thursday the team acquired left wing Shawn Limpright in a four-team trade involving Dayton, Peoria, and South Carolina. Limpright has been assigned to Las Vegas from the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL as part of the deal.

The 23-year old Limpright enters his third professional season after playing the last two years in Roanoke. This season in 29 games with the Dayton Bombers, the left wing has five goals and nine assists for 14 points. The St. Adolphe, MAN native also racked up 63 penalty minutes. Limpright has played 164 games for his career, scoring 46 goals and assisting on 54 others for 100 points. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder also has 383 penalty minutes. Limpright played with Wranglers defenseman Deryk Engelland in Moose Jaw of the Western Hockey League from 1998-2002. Limpright made his Las Vegas debut on Friday night.

Wranglers' Jason McBain and Dana Lattery Named All-Stars

The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Thursday defenseman Jason McBain and winger Dana Lattery will represent the club at the 2005 Coors Light ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, January 26th at 7:00 pm EST in Reading, PA. McBain will start for the National Conference.

San Diego Gulls - (16-11-4, 36 Points)- Season series tied 1-1.

Victoria Salmon Kings – (7-20-3, 17 Points) –Worst record in the ECHL.

Bakersfield Condors- (21-9-4, 46 Points)- Season Series is tied 3-3 with Las Vegas winning the last two meetings. Condors are in first place in the West Division.
