LAST WEEK: Pee Dee went 1-2-0 last week, suffering a home loss to Florida and a road loss to South Carolina sandwiched around a road win at Greenville. The Pride are 18-12-2 on the season for 38 points, and are in second place in the East Division, two points behind Charlotte with two games in hand.

Thursday, January 6 v. Florida Everblades 4 PRIDE 3

Pee Dee led 2-0 after one period, and then took a 3-0 lead on a Brian Collins power-play goal just 20 seconds into the third period. But, Florida would come back, scoring three goals in the first 4:35 of the third period to tie the game, and then added the game-winner 12:31 into the final period.

Friday, January 7 @ Greenville PRIDE 4 Grrrowl 2

The Pride power play provided all the offense, scoring all four goals in the Pride's 4-2 win. Trailing 2-1 entering the final period, the Pride would tie it at 6:40 on a Brian Collins tally. Pee Dee went ahead for good at 10:27 when Eric Naud deflected a Jeff Szwez shot past Mike Brodeur. Chad Spurr added an insurance goal at 13:14 to set the final.

Saturday, January 8 @ South Carolina Stingrays 5 PRIDE 2

South Carolina scored four first period goals and never looked back in a 5-2 win at the North Charleston Coliseum. Allan Sirois and Gregg Johnson scored the Pride goals, and both added assists. Chad Spurr recorded a pair of assists in the loss.

THIS WEEKS' GAMES

Tuesday, January 11 @ Augusta 7:00 p.m. Coverage on WDAR Sunny 105.5 at 6:40

The Pride and Lynx meet for the fifth of seven times this season. Pee Dee is 4-0-0 against Augusta this season, and is 34-10-5 all-time against the Lynx. Augusta is 12-16-4 for 28 points and is in sixth place in the East Division.

Thursday, January 13 v. Texas 7:00 p.m. at the Lion's Den

Texas makes its first-ever visit to Florence on Thursday night. Last season, the two teams split a pair of meetings at Ford Arena in Beaumont. Entering this week, the Wildcatters are 1-7-2 in their last 10 games, and for the season are 6-16-7 for 19 points and in sixth place in the South Division.

PROMOTIONS: It's another Thirsty Thursday at the Lion's Den, with all draft beer just $2.

Friday, January 14 v. Texas 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

The Pride and Wildcatters wrap-up their two-game set. The two teams will meet for a pair of games in Beaumont on March 25 and 26.

Saturday, January 15 v. Greenville 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den

Pee Dee takes on Greenville for the sixth of 10 times on the season. The Pride are 3-1-1 against the Grrrowl this season, with the road team winning each of the first five meetings. The Grrrowl are 16-14-3 on the season for 35 points, and are in fourth place in the East Division.

PROMOTIONS: The Pride will hold their first-ever Health Awareness Night during the game. Local health organizations will be on the concourse throughout the night to pass out information and to provide health screenings. Fans will also have the opportunity to win a number of great prizes provided by the vendors. Following the game, the Pride will present a post-game concert featuring The Woody's.

PRIDE NOTES

- Sebastien Laplante's shutout streak ended on Thursday at 220:55, just 15:13 shy of Daryl Paquette's all-time ECHL record.

- Pee Dee enters this week needing just one win for 300 in team history. Since moving from Knoxville prior to the 1997-98 season, the Pride are 299-172-49.

- The Pride are 9-for-26 (34.6%) on the power play in the last five games, scoring at least one power-play goal in each of the five outings. Pee Dee is 15th in the league on the power play, converting at 16.2% for the season. The ranking of 15th is up from 27th just two weeks ago.

- Both Chad Spurr and Allan Sirois enter this week on five-game point streaks. Spurr has two goals and eight assists during his streak, while Sirois has five goals and three assists.

HOCKEY TONIGHT SIGNS

The Pride's "Hockey Tonight" yard signs are back! If you need a new yard sign, you can pick one up at the Pride office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Customer Service Tables during home games. Remember to place your yard signs on game days. The Pride play three home games this week: Thursday and Friday against the Texas Wildcatters and Saturday against the Greenville Grrrowl.
