Ice Pilots Have Best Record In American Conference

Ice Pilots go 3-1-0 this past week. The Pensacola Ice Pilots posted a record of 3-1-0 this past week. The Ice Pilots lost at home on Tuesday vs. Reading 6-3. Ryan O'Keefe, Cam Keith and Jason Beckett scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Todd Ford was the losing goalie.

The Ice Pilots defeated Louisiana at home on Friday and Saturday night winning 7-4 on Friday night and winning 5-2 on Saturday night. Tyler Beechey, Jordan Krestanovich, Ryan Vince, Chris St. Jacques, Alex Materukhin, Cam Keith and Aaron Phillips scored goals for the Ice Pilots on Friday night. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie.

Tyler Beechey scored two goals and had two assists in the win vs. Louisiana on Saturday night. Jason Beckett, Nick Lindberg and Corey Neilson also scored goals.! The Ice Pilots scored two shorthanded goals in the game. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie.

The Ice Pilots won their third game in a row on Sunday at Texas 4-2. Tyler Beechey and Dwayne Hay each scored a goal and had two assists. Aaron Phillips scored two goals including the game winner and also picked up an assist. Todd Ford was the winning goalie.

The Ice Pilots go into the week with the best record in the American Conference and the most amount of points in the conference as the Ice Pilots are 20-9-3 for 43 points. The Ice Pilots are in first place in the South Division and have the third most points in the ECHL.

Ice Pilots continue eight game road trip at Idaho this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:05 p.m. central time. The Ice Pilots will continue their eight game road trip with games number two, three and four this weekend at Boise, Idaho. It will be the first ever meeting between the Ice Pilots and the defending Kelly Cup Champions Idaho Steelheads.

The Ice Pilots have a record an all time record of 0-0-1 vs. San Diego losing in a shootout 4-3 last year and have an all time record of 0-2-0 vs. Fresno losing 3-2 and 6-3 to the Falcons last season. The Ice Pilots will play Long Beach for the first team in the team's history. Leading Scorers: Tyler Beechey leads the Ice Pilots in scoring with 40 points and is the second leading scorer in the league. Beechey also leads the team with 19 goals which is also the third best in the league. Beechey also leads the tea! m with 21 assists. Beechey is tied for first in the league with 6 game winning goals and 16 power play points. Dwayne Hay is second on the team with 26 points and Aaron Phillips is third in the league with 25 points. Corey Neilson is the second leading scoring defenseman in the league with 24 points. Nielson is also second among defenseman in the league with 18 assists. Todd Ford has the third best goals against average in the league at 2.00 and fifth best save percentage at .939. Ford was named the December Rookie of the Month and Runner up for the ECHL Player of the Month in December.

Ice Pilots All Stars: The Ice Pilots Dave Farrish will coach the American Conference in the Coors Light ECHL All-Star game on Wednesday, January 26th in Reading, Pennsylvania. Corey Neilson will be the starting defenseman for the American Conference and Todd Ford will represent the Ice Pilots as a back up goalie. Equipment Manager John Krouse will be the equipment manager for the American Conference.

Tentative Practice Schedule this week; The Ice Pilots wil! l have Monday and Tuesday off with no ice at the Civic Center. The Ice Pilots will leave for Boise, Idaho at the Pensacola Airport at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday and practice at Idaho at 5:30 p.m. The Ice Pilots will practice at Idaho on Thursday and have a pre skate Friday and Saturday morning and play Idaho Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:05 p.m. central time.

Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Tyler Beechey has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. Beechey scored four goals and picked up five assists for the Ice Pilots this past week. Goalie Frederic Cloutier has been nominated for the ECHL Goalie of the Week. Cloutier won both games vs. Louisiana this past week. Beechey has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.

Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and ! Subway Alumni Game and Hall of Fame Voting. The Subway Alumni Game is set for Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. before the Ice Pilots vs. Mississippi at 7:! 05 p.m. Etienne Beaudry, Craig Brown, Eon MacFarlane, Christian Sbrocca, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard, Andrew Rodgers, Shane Calder, Chad Quenneville, Scott LaGrand, Scott Malone and Kelly Hultgren along with other alumni players who will be announced as they make the commitments will participate in the Subway Alumni Game. Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr will also play in the game. Members of the Jr. Ice Pilots and Senior League will also participate. Vote for your favorite Ice Pilot alumni player for the Subway Hall of Fame Banner at www.icepilots.com. with your top ten alumni players. A couple of players will be inducted onto the Subway Hall of Fame banner during the intermission that night vs. Mississippi.

The Alumni players and also the Ice Pilots current players will be wearing special old timer jerseys that will be auctioned off with portions of the proceeds going to the Hurricane Relief Fund. Group Tickets: Group tickets are available at the Ice Pilots office. A group of 15-24 will receive $2 off per ticket and scoreboard, public announcement recognition. Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have eight players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are goalie Todd Ford, defenseman Dave Turon, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center! Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury, center Cory Stillman, left wi ng Cam Keith and defenseman Tyson Marsh. Dominic D'Amour, David Turon, Tyson Marsh and Kris Newbury have been recalled to St. John's of the AHL.

Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in as! signed seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Listen to games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with the new Ice Pilots Flagship radio home AM 1620: Fans can listen to Ice Pilots games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network. The network includes new flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications and at icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game will also be taped delayed by Leafs TV. The pre game show for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night's games from Idaho begins at 7:50 p.m. central time.

Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on th! e pay-per-view broadcast.

Fans will be able to click on the "Wa tch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. Ice Pilots Radio Show at the Gutter Lounge again this season: The Ice Pilots Radio show will once again be broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street. The show is broadcasted on the Ice Pilots hockey network from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans can hear the radio show on the Ice Pilots new flagship radio station AM 1620 and on the internet at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans can meet the players, head coach Dave Farrish and members of the Ice Pilots office staff! all season long. Ryan Stokes and Bill Kinkel will be the player guests tonight.
