INTRUST Bank Arena Best in League Again

WICHITA, KS- For a second straight season, the INTRUST Bank Arena has topped the Central Hockey League's annual Best-of-the-Best poll.

The Thunder's home venue, now in its second year, took home first place honors for "Best Arena", "Best Locker Rooms", and "Best Press Box".

"We are thrilled to play in the CHL's premier arena", said Thunder General Manager Joel T. Lomurno. "It has been very helpful to our recruiting this season and should be for years to come."

The INTRUST Bank Arena is a modern, state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue, perfect for concerts and conventions alike. The arena features 22 suites, 40 loge boxes, and 300 premium seats with a total 15,000-seat capacity (www.intrustbankarena.com).

The arena has given Wichita a clear home ice advantage this season, where the Thunder is 17-8-4 at home, and an even more impressive 11-1-2 against Turner Conference opponents. The Thunder has played at the INTRUST Bank Arena since January 23rd, 2010.

Fifth-year Equipment Manager Brad Brungardt and First-Year Athletic Trainer Dennis Brogna placed third under "Best Training/Equipment Staff".

Wichita ranked second in the "Most Annoying Fans" category, with the Texas Brahmas having the honor of ending the Thunder's seven-year reign at the top.

Thunderdog, the teams 18-year old mascot earned second place billing for "Best Mascot". Thunderdog fell one vote shy of beating Rio Grande Valley's Sir-Sting-A-Lot for first place.
