
PrairieThunder Loses 4-3 in Overtime to the Texas Brahmas on Tuesday Night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder led 3-2 until 1:21 was remaining in the third period when the Texas Brahmas Mick Lawrence tied the game. Then at 4:02 in the overtime period, veteran Chad Woollard lit the lamp for the game winner giving the Brahmas a 4-3 overtime victory. With the victory, Texas improves to 32-19-5. Bloomington (32-17-6) picks up a point in the standings with the overtime loss. The PrairieThunder has 70 points which puts them in a third place tie with Missouri. Both the PThunder and Mavericks are just two points behind Colorado and Rapid City who remain tied for first place in the CHL's Turner (Northern) Conference.
Aaron Dawson put Bloomington on top 1-0 early at the :38 second mark of the first period. And after the game was tied at two, John Snowden put the PrairieThunder ahead 3-2 at the 8:27 mark of the second period before the Brahmas would do their late damage. Bloomington goaltender Brad Phillips took the overtime loss stopping 23 of 27 shots. For the Texas Brahmas, netminder Wayne Savage got the win stopping 35 of 38 PrairieThunder shots.
Bloomington continues on their Texas road trip on Friday night at 7:05pm against the Odessa Jackalopes. The game can be heard on WEZC-FM (95.9), WJBC.com, CHL-TV, or w atch the game at BlueLine Nightclub, 602 N. Main Streetin downtown Bloomington.
The PrairieThunder's next home game is Wednesday, March 16th @ 7:05pm against the Missouri Mavericks.

Playoff ticket packages for the upcoming Central Hockey League Playoffs (which begin at the end of the month) and 2011-12 PrairieThunder Season Tickets are now on sale. The CHL playoffs consist of four rounds. If Bloomington has home ice advantage in every round, the team could play a maximum of fourteen additional home playoff games.

PrairieThunder forward Matt McIlvane will be appearing at the "Men's Coffee Talk" in Westminster tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9th, from 10am-11am.
The PrairieThunder will be participating in this coming Saturday's (March 12th) "Sharing of the Green" parade in Uptown Normal. The parade begins at 10am and PrairieThunder mascot "Chip" and members of the Fox & Hounds "Foxy Ladies" will represent the team.
