The Tulsa Oilers pop-up in nearly 20 percent of the categories in the annual Central Hockey League Best of the Best poll. The Oilers are listed in nine of the 50 categories. The poll lists the top three selections in each category, as voted on by CHL players, coaches, and support staff. Chad Costello (currently assigned to Lake Erie of the American Hockey League) is listed as the second best overall player and second best stickhandler. Ian Keserich earned the top spot in the poll as the best goaltender in shootouts. Derek Eastman finished third in the poll as the best offensive defenseman in the league. Bruce Ramsay was tabbed as the second best coach. The Oiler's host hotel, the Hyatt Regency came in third place and the BOK Center was voted the second best arena, with the second best lockerroms and third best arena concessions. Tuesday night the Oilers host the Wichita Thunder at 7:05, with an Oilers victory clinching a playoff spot for Tulsa.
