Calgary Hitmen News Release

Lethbridge, AB - Logan Barlage scored the only goal of the shootout to propel the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday night at ENMAX Centre.

Jett Jones and Justin Hall also found the back of the net for the Hurricanes who overcame a 2-0 second period deficit to record their fourth victory in as many tries against Calgary this season.

Forward Oliver Tulk notched both goals for the Hitmen, his fourth and fifth of his rookie campaign staking the visitors to period leads of 1-0 and 2-1. Despite the setback, Calgary has now picked up a least a point in six straight games posting a record of 3-0-2-1 during that span.

The Hitmen outshot the Hurricanes 40-32 and went 0-2 on the power play while Lethbridge was 1-5 with the man advantage. Both goaltenders were key factors in the game as 'Canes netminder Bryan Thomson finished with 38 saves while Calgary's Brayden Peters counted 30 stops.

Calgary will now use Thursday as a travel day as they head to Saskatchewan for a pair of games this coming weekend. They will visit Saskatoon on Friday, Dec. 10 before a Saturday, Dec. 11 stop in Prince Albert.

The next Hitmen home game is not until Wednesday, Dec. 15 when the Edmonton Oil Kings are in Scotiabank Saddledome for a 7:00 p.m. start.
