Hodass to Represent Latvia at Wjc Division-1a Championship

Defenceman Bogdans Hodass has been named to Team Latvia for the 2022 IIHF World Junior Division 1-A Championships, which take place Dec. 12-18th in Horsholm, Denmark.

This is the Jelgava, Latvia product's second time competing at an international level. He represented Latvia last spring in the 2021 IIHF Under-18 Championships where he picked up an assist in two games.

Drafted 71st overall by the Tigers in the 2021 CHL Import Draft, Hodass leads all Tigers rookies with 3 goals and 13 assists in 22 games.

Latvia will open the tournament on December 12th against Norway. The gold medal-winning team will earn a berth to compete in the 2023 World Juniors next December in Novosibirsk and Omsk, Russia. The other countries represented in the tournament are Kazakhstan, Belarus, Denmark and Hungary.
