Hitmen Select Forward Carson Wetsch 12th Overall in 2021 WHL Prospects Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is proud to announce the selection of forward Carson Wetsch with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft. The Prospects Draft is for 2006-born players from the four western provinces and select U.S states.

Wetsch, a product of North Vancouver BC, currently plays with the Burnaby Winter Club U18 Prep. The 6'2", 165-pound right-winger sits at 13 points (7g, 6a) in 5 games this season. He also tallied 77 points (21g, 46a) in 29 games in the 2019-20 season with West Van U15.

"Carson is a big strong forward with a great stick and ability to make plays, while being very reliable defensively." said Garry Davidson, Director of Player Personnel for the Calgary Hitmen. "He is a well-rounded right winger who skates very well and who we believe will fit into our roster of blossoming young players."
