The Kelowna Rockets finished up a three-game road trip with a 5-3 loss to the Western Conference leading Everett Silvertips at the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, WA. on Wednesday night.

Falling behind in the first, Kelowna responded with a pair of goals to leapfrog the 'tips. Shortly after the Rockets go-ahead goal, Everett took off with three straight to re-establish their lead. The two traded goals in the third. With the loss, Kelowna's record moves to 11-7-0-3.

Seventeen-year-old Max Graham posted his first multi-goal game, coming against his former team. Talyn Boyko made his seventh consecutive start for the Rockets, stopping 43 of the 48 shots he faced on the night.

Former roommates Jackson Berezowski (17) and Max Graham (4) traded goals in the opening period.

Tripped up on a short-handed breakaway, Pavel Novak (11) buried the penalty shot to give the Rockets their lone lead of the game. Ryan Hofer (7), Austin Roest (6) and Niko Huuhtanen (8) all scored within a span of 4:32.

Turner McMillen set Graham (5) up with his second of the night 1:27 into the third. Huuhtanen (9) also scored his second of the night, potting the Silvertips insurance goal.

The Silvertips outshot the Rockets 48-28.

Kelowna went zero-for-two on the night with the powerplay, the Silvertips were two-for-three with the man advantage.

The Rockets were without Mark Liwiski, he served game one of a two-game suspension for a checking from behind major and game misconduct at Seattle Thunderbirds on December 7. He'll be eligible to return to the lineup on Saturday when the Rockets host the Thunderbirds.

Kelowna will return home to host the Prince George Cougars on Friday at 7:05 pm. The box office is open 11:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and opens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday home game days.
