Hitmen Acquire Forward Carter MacAdams from Cougars

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club have traded Zac Funk to the Prince George Cougars in exchange for forward Carter MacAdams, a second round pick in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, and second and fourth round picks in the 2024 Prospects Draft.
"This transaction adds a key piece to our roster in the 2004 age group. Carter is a big left shot and possesses great hands and offensive capability. We think he will be a great addition to our lineup." said General Manager Jeff Chynoweth. "We are excited about our team and expect the same growth and development we experienced in the first half of the season as we move into the final months of the playoff race," continued Chynoweth.
"We want to thank Zac Funk for his contributions on and off the ice over the past four seasons."
Carter MacAdams was drafted by Prince George in the fourth round (70th overall) in the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft. The 2004-born forward from South Surrey, BC has spent three seasons with the Cougars, tallying 18 goals 30 assists for 48 points in 117 regular season games.
