Hurricanes Re-Acquire Picklyk's Rights from Americans

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday they have re-acquired the rights to 2003-born goaltender Jared Picklyk from the Tri-City Americans in exchange for a 10th round draft pick in the 2025 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft.

Picklyk, 19, has been assigned to the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. The 6'3, 195- pound netminder was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the seventh-round (148th overall) in the 2018 WHL Draft.

Picklyk was traded to the Americans in November for a sixth-round draft pick, but only appeared in two games with Tri- City.

The Kelowna, BC, product started nine games with the 'Canes prior to the trade posting a 4-5-0-0 record with a 3.50 goals against average and an .877 save percentage. Picklyk has a 14-14-3-1 record in his career with a 3.60 GAA and a .880 SV%, primarily with the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes return to action on Wednesday when they welcome the Swift Current Broncos to the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm.
